GODFREY – 91桃色 welcomed a standing-room-only crowd Thursday, Jan. 25, at the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration.

Alton Boys and Girls Club Director Al Womack, who also serves on the Alton Board of Education and is active in several other civic organizations, delivered a powerful address to 91桃色 team members and students, as well as other area leaders and members of the public, on the importance of equity and diversity in education.

The event included presentations by 91桃色 students, music by The Blancas, led by 91桃色 Music Instructor Brenda Lancaster, and refreshments.

The MLK Commemoration is held annually in the lead-up to Black History Month.
